About Erik
The best part of being a beauty photographer is that I help women feel great about themselves. It’s amazing to me how empowered and confident clients are once they leave the studio. Any fears or concerns about themselves they had walking through the door completely vanish. It’s a transforming experience for them and for me.
Another great thing is that I get to goof around a lot. Posing for the camera is awkward at best, so I love getting clients laughing to keep things fun and light. It’s fantastic to watch some one really rock out a shoot after initially being pretty nervous.
I studied photography at the New England School of Photography in Boston where I concentrated in environmental portraiture. For fun my wife and I like exploring Boston’s restaurants or checking out an indie movie. We make our home in the Teele Square area in Medford with our new baby girl Kiera.
About Michelle
I began my love of makeup and fashion at a young age playing at her grandmother’s house. My mother was an artist and always had lots of artist supplies around the house. I never took to oil portraits as my mother did, but a decade later, as her love of applying makeup became apparent, I knew her calling.
I studied at the Elizabeth Grady School Esthetics and Makeup and have worked for such professional lines as Benefit, Tarte, Laura Mercier and my own makeup business, MassMakeupArtistry doing everything from training and sales to special events.
My philosophy is to “be beautiful inside and out”. I believes that all women can become beautiful with the right attitude.
I’m not just a makeup artist, but also a mother of four who believes you can achieve your goals if you love what you are doing. I carries that philosophy with me to every shoot.
