A Rave From Ms. I

Ms. I recently received a print, album, and wall canvas from us after her shoot in our studio. She has been one of the sweetest ladies in front of Erik’s camera! Not only have we heard great things from her about her experience with us, she also volunteered to give us a testimonial to post without us even asking. We’re excited to put a face to the name as well! Enjoy reading Ms. I’s thoughts and checking out a snippet of the gorgeous results from her Boudoir shoot!

Boudoir client in photo studio with black sheets

I wanted to send a large thank you to Erik, Lorna and Kerri for making this such a great experience!

I had decided I wanted to do something for myself and thought since I was reaching 40, why not do something fun and different?

I saw Patton Boudoir and decided to check into doing a photo shoot. I couldn’t be happier with the photos!

The initial conversation with Lorna to schedule the consultation and subsequent conversations to schedule the photo shoot, screening of the final photos and the conversations regarding the final products (a gorgeous wall print and photo album) were all a pleasure.

The initial consultation where I met Erik and discussed the photo shoot made me realize this was going to be fun and relaxing.

The day of the photo shoot was filled with music, chatting and laughs. Erik made it a breeze to feel comfortable and Kerri did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup.

When it came time to review the photos there were so many to choose from! I actually said “Is that really me?” when I saw the first image – it exceeded my expectations.

I was able to narrow my selection down into a photo album and the wall print I wanted – I just hung the wall print up and it looks even better than I remembered!

I highly recommend Patton Photography and would do this again in a heartbeat!

Michele I.

Our goal is to make an experience like this for every woman who enters our studio, and we’re so glad Ms. I got to be one of them! If you’re curious to hear more about what we do, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Lingerie Editorial for L’Ecole Nuit

A couple of weeks ago we got together with our friend Kristine at L’ECOLE NUIT in Boston’s South End to shoot a lingerie editorial. Featuring looks from European boutique designers, our model April was absolutely stunning in bridal, loungewear and super sexy lingerie pieces. Shooting against a backdrop that feels more like a luxury suite than a retail space, we used just about every square inch of Kristine’s shop to get a variety of photographs.

About the lingerie designers April is modeling:

The beautifully feminine silk and lace piece in soft white and oyster pink color combination is by British designer Mimi Holliday. To find out more about the designer and her collections, click here.

The soft, romantic lace in a deep bordeaux color complete with garter belt and stockings is by Turkish designer, ELSE. To learn about the designer Ela Onor and view more of her collection, click here.

Vintage-inspired romance is at the heart of the silk peony and French lace babydoll by London designer, Michelle Bleckinsopp and her label, Shell Belle Couture. For more on her “boudoir to beach” collections, click here.

Ms. B’s Boudoir Session Part I

We often like to break our boudoir shoots into two general parts where one is “light” and the other is “dark.” This helps create a lot of variety and allows you to see yourself in more than just one way. Typically the lighter look is done with softer light and the makeup is also softer with a more natural look. With the darker look we’ll go for more dramatic makeup with darker eyes and false lashes and harder light with lots of shadowing.

Ms. B. wanted to do a bit of both. Here’s a selection of my light images from Ms. B.s boudoir shoot at our Boston studio and we’ll post the second in a few days.

Thanks to Kerri for doing awesome makeup as always and to Ms. B. for letting us share her images with those other ladies interested in boudoir.

A Rave From Ms. K

There’s no day like a snow day to read through client testimonials! We found a glowing and informative review from (another!) Ms. K from this past fall on Yelp. This is the same Ms. K from this shoot we posted recently.

I had an amazing experience with Erik Patton Photography. I met with Erik for an hour before my shoot to talk about the design concepts and his philosophy. He was extremely helpful and was genuinely interested in getting a better sense of my style and vision for the shoot. During the shoot, Erik was great at helping give ideas and coach through different poses. He was incredibly professional and definitely put me at ease. He gave his professional opinion and also asked me to incorporate ideas of my own. During the viewing session, Erik gave a lot of really helpful advice about finding the right album for me. He also helped me decide which pictures would create a composed and versatile album. After the pictures were selected, his team did a really phenomenal job communicating with me about the finishing touches on the photos and the album.

We’re so pleased to have such great clients who enjoy the whole Boudoir experience that we love to give! Writing an in-depth testimonial is not always easy, so we always appreciate when past clients do that for us and want to share their experience with others.:)

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from every one at Patton Boudoir! We hope you have a safe and joyous holiday season with much love to you and yours!

Here are a couple of images from a model shoot we did with the talented Ms. Kate Jurdi for our holiday card.
